2.15 Happy Passover

By Cyndi
March 26, 2013

What a crazy week!!  I can't believe its been a week, so I will keep this short and sweet.  T&Z had an exciting Friday at daycare where Tyler peed in the potty (and on his pants) and Zach almost went poop in the potty, potentially because he had an extra dose of Miralax.  Oops :)  Either way, we think of it as Success!!

L'Chaim!!

Passover has started which meant thorough kitchen cleaning, dishes switched, and lots of cooking for sedar.  We hosted our first sedar in the new house which went decently well with three crazy toddlers!

We enjoyed it with friends and family and only made it to the meal, at which point it was time for "FIND THE MATZAH!"  Oh my ... Instead of Todd destroying my house as in years past, Tyler, Zach & their buddy Lincoln went to search for three afikomens in the toy room (wrapped in different color napkins).

The excitement was so cute when they FOUND THE MATZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Passover!

2.14 WWF .... in my house?!

By Cyndi
March 20, 2013

While the pictures I post make life seem wonderful & Tyler and Zach seem like angels, I would like to enlighten you on what life is really like with twin toddler boys.

WWF .... head lock .... take downs .... laughs .... quickly followed by tears.

I stand back to watch and wait for the moment I need to jump in before biting or real pain is inflicted.  I can't say that if you asked me a year ago what life would be like, I would have described this, but it is reality!
Note:  Bottom right Happy minute, Bottom Left Sad two seconds later!
Over the past week, we have been preparing for Passover, reading the boys new books where they have learned about matza, sedar plates and singing Dayenu.  It is fun to see them interested in learning these things!  See picture above for new awesome shirts from Mrs. Meshugga on etsy.com

We are looking forward to a few trips during the remainder of 2013.  Since T&Z are getting quite big for pack n plays we have started practicing with them sleeping in tents!  One is ours and the others we are borrowing.  First afternoon nap went surprisingly well!!

We have also done some additional decorating around the house.  The toy room (aka Dining Room) has a place for me to display their artwork from school and the artwork that was in their nursery.  We have also added a chalkboard to the kitchen area, where we have been practicing the ABC's.  They can recognize all of their letters, so now we are working on recognizing their names.

We have also purchased a table for the deck and a new grill.  So excited to grill and we will break it out for Passover!

And one last happy moment.  They are sharing food more and more often!

2.13 That's What Friends are For ...

By Cyndi
March 12, 2013

We had a fun visitor over this past weekend ... my matron of honor and best friend from high school. Matt was kind enough to be "cough cough" sick so Kristen and I could spend the day together.  We did lots of shopping and then went out with everyone for great pizza.

Otherwise, we are waiting for warm & dry weather so we can start playing outside.  We had a little sneak peak of it on Sunday and hopefully it returns again soon.
L'chaim!

Tyler & Zachary have learned a few new tricks:

Funny Faces ...

Making "houses" with magnet blocks & crazy dress up ...

2.12 Things Kids Say

March 5, 2013
By Cyndi

After my post last week, I realized that I had forgotten to include some additional phrases from the boys that make me laugh.

Wipe Tears -- this is Tyler's newest phrase.  It is so sweet yet funny at the same time.

Sit Down, Mommy -- When I'm not interacting directly with them, usually Zach will walk over and instruct me to sit down on the floor in the kitchen so he can sit on my lap.

Right There -- Both guys say this after yelling "Back Hoe" or anything else they see .... even if we passed it a while ago.  It's quite funny, because they say it expecting Matt & I to know exactly what they are talking about!

B-I-N-G-O ... bingo and bingo name-o  --  They love to sing and this is their newest song ...

They have also taken a liking to wrestling and riding Daddy like a horse!  We have learned that this is only successful when both of us are home and one sits with me while the other guy takes his turn.  Otherwise, all they do is try to pull the other off and laugh about it!

Enjoy a few videos!

and here is the other guy ....

Sometimes we have accidents where we have to "wipe tears" but then we do it again!!

They lined up their toys around the kitchen counters!

Enjoying a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over the weekend
