Happy Father's Day 2010

It was time to start telling the world ... one person at a time.  Todd & Stacie, along with Al (Cyndi's dad) found out with cookies.  Todd looked at the cookies and said, what does this say?  I responded with, try another cookie.  (During our first baking experiment, we found out the printing on the M&M's melts when you bake them ... so we tried to add a few extra after pulling them out of the oven to save the first batch).  Once Todd picked up another cookie, he asked if I was pregnant.  I said maybe?!?!!  I think Todd & Stacie both though I had bought some Easter M&M's on sale and used them to bake cookies ....
While Al was visiting, we served the cookies for all of us to share.  Matt ate one followed by Al.  Yup, first cookie went right in without a peep out of my dad.  What were we supposed to do now??  We headed to the basement to watch the dogs play and I suggested to my dad to have another cookie.  Finally when he picked it up, I suggested he read it first!  He did and was very excited.
The big reveal came with a well orchestrated plan to tell the Alderson family.  Al was to bring a Father's Day gift for Poppa (Matt's grandpa), along with another batch of cookies to share.  After debate over how the gift should look, this is what we came up with:

I had just returned from a LONG day at Tour de Cure and Matt & I were ready to call in.  The phone was put on speaker and this was the reaction .... priceless!  We wish we could have been there to see it in person ...

And they didn't know it is twins yet!  More excitement to come with the announcement to everyone else.
