The past week has been rough, in a good way. Tyler & Zach started at a new daycare center today.
The past few weeks our previous in-home provider was supposed to be transitioning to use her food for meals and snacks. Since the guys are fairly picky, we would still send some of our food and none of it was returned. Whenever I asked, I received the answer of they liked her (the provider's) food. If they liked her food, where was our food? When I asked how their day was, I always received the same one work answer, Fine. How long was their nap? Response: It was fine. I said No, how long. This had been a long time coming and we needed the push to just be done and accept the change. Communication was seriously lacking; it was time to move on to a more structured, educational environment.
We are excited to see how they will do at their new daycare. They will be in a room with 6 other kids who are all walking already. They will sit at little tables, with little chairs for their meals and snack (crazy me, but I can't figure out how they will sit still and not fall out of the chair!). They feed them their meal plan which we have a copy of, so we will know what they should be eating daily. We will be paying for full time care which will be helpful for when we need to get things done. Matt will still keep them home mornings until 9 or 10a and maybe all day on his day off, depending on the to-do list.
I have to remind myself, change is good!
| Feedback from Day 1 of new daycare: They like to flip chairs over .... Zach (mostly) likes to toss over the music table at home too. |
We are starting to prepare for our vacation. We have a "How to keep T&Z happy" document to teach our parents about our daily routine. I am sure they will be thrilled to read through it!
| Tyler's mad face when I took his tray away because he was throwing all his food on the floor. Good luck Nana & Saba! |
I also splurged on a new camera bag. I've been wanting a new purse and wanted something large enough to carry all of my camera equipment. I can't wait for it to arrive!!

This can hold: a 15" macbook pro with battery cord,1 camera body with lens attached,1 long lens, 2 extra lenses, wallet, keys, cell phone, and other miscellaneous personal items.
And last, but certainly not least .... Tyler graced me with this smooth move on Friday evening. I had told Matt when he installed the gate that it could happen .... and it did!! We will be adding a piece of wood tomorrow at the bottom to reduce the gap. Sorry kid, but we have to take your fun away!
