1.40 Finally a "normal" week! Happy New Year!

By Cyndi

For the second time this month, it is a short week for me.  I wish every week could be 3 or 4 days.  I know, I will keep hoping.  Matt worked an evening shift on Saturday, so we spent the morning at a local park and running a few quick errands.  Even though it was only me when they woke up from nap until bedtime, somehow, I felt more energized at the end of the day!  Plus, the park we visited was completely empty since we were there before 10am.

We also celebrated Rosh Hashana.  I was adamant on taking the guys to services, so we decided that Erev of RH was the best (45 min service) and lightly attended.  We got there about 10 minutes before, picked out seats and took the guys on a little walk around.  We sat them between us and we prayed that we wouldn't need to make a quick exit.  There was a silent prayer time early on and let's just say they don't understand silence yet.  Otherwise, I think they did great.  Mostly because we kept their mouths busy with bags of goldfish and finished the service up with a sippy full of milk!  Whatever works, right?

We practiced a few new words on the way to and from temple.  L'shana Tova (Happy New Year), Rabbi & Temple.  We will keep trying them.  We plan to take them to the last service on Yom Kippur before we break the fast.

L'shana Tova to any who celebrate!!
