2.51 Thanksgiving

What a week it has been!  Between my birthday, the National Menorah Lighting, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah, we've eaten so much and spent a few crazy days with friends!!

My birthday was fairly uneventful, as I like it.  I enjoyed a few phone calls from friends, flowers x2 when I arrived home and that's when the fun ended.  Zach kept repeating "Its not mommy birthday," and I was headbutted and bit during the evening, but at least we ended the evening well with Pho from a local place.

The menorah lighting was generally a success, besides the massive amounts of mud, and Tyler crying he wanted to go home, until I told him we were having pizza & fed him some sufganiyot (jelly donut).  The boys stayed in the stroller and we got our typical pictures with Dreidel Man & the menorah in the background

Then there was Thanksgiving.  The Carmeans arrived the previous night. It was fabulous to wake up, slowly start cooking and let the fellas play and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.  They took an amazing nap (Todd & Stacie arrived at 2 and T&Z slept until well after 3p!!)  We took some family & group pictures and stuffed ourselves while the kids watched Planes.   We fed the kids and lit the menorahs and opened gifts.  It was so fun to watch all the kids open their gift and look around for what their friends received!

The kids had a great time playing together Thursday and Friday and the adults enjoyed themselves with wine, apple cider and cinnamon whiskey along with traditional Hanukkah foods.

After everyone left on Saturday morning, we cleaned and relaxed.  After another decent nap, we took the boys to a park that's about 30 min away, but one they love.  It was good for all of us to get some fresh air!!  It was a great weekend and can't wait for many other weekends together with great friends!
