Meigs has rebounded beautifully! He got his stitches out a few days early because some blood was oozing from the incision. We were noticing the smallest traces of blood on the carpet, mainly where he has been laying at night in our room, so I called the vet and they advised to bring him in to make sure it was nothing serious. They thought the stitches might be bothering him so they said removing them early would be the right move. Turns out the suturing job was sub-par, whereas the two pieces of skin had been sewed on top of one another, and the result was a small flap of skin hanging down. This should be of no bother, I was told, other than he will want to lick at it. To prevent that, and to keep it dry, the vet said to put an old t-shirt on him. I went home, and the shirt pictured below was the first one I saw in my closet; I don't believe I could have picked a better one.

Cyndi left for LA for work a few hours ago, so it's just me and the fellas until Sunday afternoon.
Predictions:
1. Crying, and lots of it
2. Beer, and lots of it
3. As many stars taken away as earned [star chart]
4. Multiple times of Meigs giving me the can't-you-tell-them-to-shut-the-f*&k-up? look
5. Another beer store run
