The lovely three day weekend, which became four days after a measly 3 inches of snow last night, was filled with lots of inside fun, pediatrician visits (yes, plural) and Valentine's Day!
Late last week, we noticed a slight rash on Zach's belly. He had been acting fine but we wanted to have him checked out so we went there first thing on Saturday. Zach was positive for strep, so we got him meds and headed home.
We remained on quarantine for the remainder of the weekend. The fellas have done fairly well in their new beds and seem quite comfortable each morning when we go to wake them up. After the doctor appointment we kept watching Tyler for the rash and Tyler kept having meltdowns each time Z had his meds.
So off we went, Monday morning during walk-in hours, back to the pediatrician to check out Tyler. He had some slight belly discoloration, though I doubted he would be positive for strep. He in fact did not have it, but at least now I would have the "official" doctor's response of, "You are fine and no meds for you."
On Monday evening we started to get snow. Of course, all of the public schools closed and so did our daycare. Ugh, thankfully, Matt was off work so he watched them while I headed to work. They had a little fun in the snow and sadly I missed it. Hopefully next time!
