We came home ... mostly to see Meigs, because vacation was fabulous, who would want to return?!
Nana arrived in town and took care of Meigs while we were gone. We had a mediocre internet connection while there so we had some updates to keep up on his progress, but otherwise, we weren't online much.
So let's talk vacation ... it was great! This resort is perfect for babies to elementary school as each room comes with a nanny from 9-430p each day. Our nanny, Miss Stacy, was perfect for us. She kept the kids happy and busy, giving Matt and I time to relax and do some activities on our own.
The room had a living space and a bedroom so we the fellas could go to bed around 8pm and we wouldn't disturb them when we in came later. The nannies were also available after hours for a very reasonable rate! So we used her 4 of our 5 nights to have an adult dinner and some beverages at the bar each night.
They had multiple pools and the fellas found one with a small cement slide that they could do all on their own and they played for hours! They also did crafts each day which they enjoyed. The adults did some kayaking, swimming in the ocean out to the blue mat and enjoyed many beverages!
The food was okay. It wasn't anything amazing, but since I don't eat many things and somewhat picky from there, I didn't eat anything too adventurous. Zach ate fries for lunch and dinner for 4 days straight. Tyler ate a hamburger bun covered in ketchup! Oh, and ice cream at least once per day! But for the benefits of the nanny and kids entertainment, it was perfect!
Overall, the vacation was great! We have many lasting memories and the perfect amount of fun & relaxation! We hope to go back another time when the kids are 6 or 7 to enjoy it again!!
