The nursery to be ...

After writing this entire post, I realized that we needed to measure everything out and make sure it fits. The factory layout / workstation design classes I took during my engineering education at Purdue are now coming in quite handy!

Current Guest Room
Current Meigs' room / Office

Our original intentions were to convert the guest room into the nursery, and Meigs' room/office would become Meigs' room/office/guest room. A few crib measurements later, we knew this might not be the best option ... the cribs would be inches away from each other and that doesn't sound like a good idea to me. I'm sure Gayle would concur with her twin experience and how well behaved Matt & Michael were :)

So here we are .... Meigs' room / office will become the nursery. The nursery will have two cribs, changing table/dresser, book case (of some sort), and hopefully a glider. Cribs (nowadays) can be converted into full size beds later, so we will actually be purchasing a second dresser to keep in the closet, so we will have matching bedroom sets for later.

We do not plan on finding out the sexes of the babies, so the room & bedding will be neutral (yellow, brown, green & white). The current guest room is yellow but now we will need to paint the future nursery ... probably green! I have purchased the bedding and once we've received it, we will pick a color. Uncle Daniel is coming for a visit in early August and he's being volunteered (but doesn't know it yet) to help move some of the furniture to its future home so we (read: Matt) can paint!

Another bookcase will be moved upstairs near our bedroom and the dollhouse from my childhood moved into the hallway. It will be tight, but we are determined to find a way to keep the bed for all of our future guests!

Matt is currently on his first of two mancations (definition found here) to Detroit to go to a baseball game with his friends from his time in Cleveland at Flight Options. I'm left to dinner with some friends & cuddle time with Meigs!

Oh ... since we are in Week 15 now, they are now the size of Naval Oranges (4 in / 2.5 oz). We have a doctor appointment next week but no ultrasound. For your viewing enjoyment, I've been practicing my photography by taking a few 6 month pictures of Lincoln (our godson). And while taking belly pics a few weeks ago, Meigs couldn't help but want to be in the picture too!
