Week 27

By Cyndi
October 12, 2010

First of all, I'd like to thank last week's blogger for his post, though I have a feeling he will be authoring more as time goes on.  He received many compliments on his post.  The Engineer says thanks for allowing her to take a week off!

Please submit your baby pool guesses (link is above) .... so far, we have two and I'm sure there's more faithful readers who have guesses!!!

The last week has been quite eventful.  Cribs are almost fully assembled.  One is complete and the other has a manufacturing defect.  Matt will be calling and figuring out how to have them fix it tomorrow.  The room layout is different than we thought, but works well.  Everything fits and hopefully keeps the cribs far enough apart that if little arms and fingers try to reach out, they won't touch each other.

With the all clear from Dr. S, off we went to Dallas.  We had a fabulous time with our Purdue friends, celebrating Michael & Ashley's wedding.  We went to the Texas State Fair, where you can have fried everything ... here's a sampling of pictures from our day:

Fried Oreo

Remnants of turkey leg

Enjoyed a tasty rehearsal dinner ...

And the wedding ... where we drank & danced the night away ...

The last trip without "extra" carry-ons is in the books ... unless we have some volunteers to come to babysit in 2011 and beyond!
