31 Weeks Old

By Cyndi
July 17, 2011

The past week has been spent baby proofing and preparing for visitors and our trip to AZ.  Matt has installed magnetic cabinet locks on all of the lower kitchen cabinets.  We need to pick up a few supplies to install the baby gates and hopefully we will atleast have the main level gate up this week.  This one is at the top of the list because Tyler and Zach and moving around more and more.  They are generally moving backwards, but the stairwell that leads to the basement needs to be gated.

We have also started shifting their schedule later to prepare for Phoenix.  This is a slow process, delaying their feedings 15min per day and then sticking to the 3 hr schedule during the daytime.  So far so good.  We hope they will at least sleep until 5a or 6a PDT, but we'll adjust as needed (we don't have any other options).

We have continued on our food adventure with a few more vegetables.  We will begin fruits later this week.  Then we will slowly continue to add to the list.  So far, no allergic reactions!

Food Grade Date
Peas D 7/2/11
Green Beans B+ 7/5/11
Carrots C 7/9/11
Sweet Potatoes B 7/12/11
Butternut Squash A- 7/16/11

Now onto teething.  Ugh, they are cranky on and off all day long.  Zach actually has his lower right almost broke the gum and Tyler is not far behind.  I haven't broken down and used Motrin yet, only frozen wash clothes & frozen teething toys.

Nana arriving late this evening for a few days, with Saba arriving for an evening before flying out ahead of us to AZ to prepare for our visit.  It will be a busy next two weeks for us.  Followed by Matt & my first visit to the Kennedy Center in DC to see Wicked (a DATE NIGHT FOR US!!! & an advanced thank you for Todd & Stacie for babysitting).

7 month pictures

Trying to take a picture of Zach's swollen gums

Zach "eating" ... he lets it sit there for 10+ seconds like he doesn't know what to do

We often find them under the chair ... oops!

Proof we MUST have the baby gates up asap ... they are about to crawl!
