2.03 2012 Year in Review

Looking back at the year makes me happy and sad in the same moment as we watch our babies grow into little boys.  Here are a few of the moments:

We have changed about 3000 diapers total and at around $0.25/ diaper (yes, prices go up as the size goes up);we have spent over $700 on that alone!  Don't worry, potty training is to begin sometime in the middle of 2013.

We have served over 10,000 oz of whole milk.  That's a lot.

During 2011, Matt worked 28 OT shifts ... during 2012, 40+.  I am so thankful he has had this opportunity because it won't happen every year and that extra cash helped us buy the home of our dreams.

Matt and I traveled to Brussels, Florence and Rome.  Nana & Saba graciously watched Tyler & Zach while we enjoyed some time away.  It was an amazing trip with our friends the Acks' and reminded me of how happy I am traveling.  I can't wait until we can take T&Z to places around the world!

The boys attended 3 different daycares this year.  We are extremely happy with our current school.  They have amazing activities, degree'd teaching staff, and more than we could ask for.  It is more than our mortgage payment (for both guys), but worth every.single.penny.  They come home every day with something new!  We are lucky we can afford to send them to the best place around!

Tyler has a United Airlines mileage plus account with miles already accrued (Zach has an account but no miles yet).  Yup, we are starting them early.

(From 2011 review, and nothing has changed here ... Matt rocks bath time still!!)  Matt has bathed the boys every single time this year, except once. I made a huge mess with the infant tub and have been banned from this activity until further notice.

Amazon prime has been a lifesaver this year for ordering diapers, wipes and other fix-it items for the new house.  The time saved by not having to drive to a store for each of these needed items is invaluable.

We have taken over 4500 pictures this year (almost 15gig of memory). I have yet to begin the 2012 photo albums and will probably regret that soon.

We had 2 ER visits during the last quarter of the year, both for Tyler.  I am glad we got that "first" over with. Luckily, it has been a generally healthy year for all of us.

We can't wait to see what 2013 brings ... family, friends & more amazing memories!

Happy New Year!!

Bringing in 2013 with kids in bed and great friends!
