Fall? Can it be?? Pumpkin Spice Lattes and cooler temps!
It is one of my favorite times of year, but it also brings worried thoughts of
being stuck inside for days and days when winter hits -- with two crazy
threenagers!!!
For now, we will enjoy being outside as much as we can!! We
celebrated Rosh Hashana with the Isaacs and enjoyed a tasty brisket and sides, along
with fresh challah
from a local bakery ... YUM!!
On Saturday, realizing we had nothing going on, made plans
and went apple and blackberry picking with friends. It turned out to be a great
afternoon and the weather was perfect!!! We picked over 30 apples and a pint of
blueberries. My first batch of apple sauce is made and more to come (& a
lovely request from Matt for an apple pie ... I'll get right on that?!)
On Sunday, my brother Dave, sister-in-law Lauren &
nephew Asher arrived. We had a great visit with them, playing, reading books,
and a quick trip for some fro-yo!! I had to work Monday , but Matt had the day off and spent
time at the park and more playtime.
They were our last set of visitors for a few weeks, but the
weekends aren't any less busy!! I am going to try to spend every last moment
outside while the weather is pleasant and save all indoor activities for the winter!
The next picture is real life and while I am able to get
great pictures of the boys, it is not easy and this is what most of our pictures
turn out like. Oh well, but you know this will be in their bar mitzvah
slideshow!!
(Editor's note: T&Z REJECTED applesauce because it was NOT FROM THE JAR ... the
jar that they are familiar with. Ugh, picky toddlers. But Asher gladly ate
almost two bowls full!!)
