2.40 We've had better weeks ....

We've had better weeks and while I won't bore you with all of the less than great things that have occurred, I'll share a few.

On Friday during bath, Zach wasn't be a "good listener" so I had to hold him, brush quickly and take him staight to bed.  I opened his faucet to full force to wet his tooth brush and slammed it down. Matt heard something like a toilet running but that wasn't it.  I set Zach down quickly, realized it was coming from the master bathroom to find 1/2" of water and the toilet spraying everywhere!!!  I yelled for Matt who helped turn off the toilet while I started soaking up the standing water with towels.

We threw the soaked towels in the master tub (never been used since we moved in) and drained it once we had finished.  When we came downstairs to the main level, we found a wet ceiling and dripping.  (Mind you, Friday night was the start of Yom Kippur, one of the most important Jewish holidays where we fast for 24 hrs).

Fast forward to Matt staying home from services and the plumber cutting a hole in the ceiling, replacing the intake pipe to the master toilet which was broken and finding that our pressure regulating incoming water to the entire house was BROKEN.  Awesome ... another $500 down the tubes for house repairs ...

Then Tyler woke up with a fever Sunday after nap and a mucus-y cough which stayed with him into Monday morning and a high temp.  Matt took Z to school and took T to the doctor who said his lungs were clear and dose claritan and mucinex and keep him home as long as he had a fever.

Let's just say the start of this Jewish year isn't the best and we can only hope it gets better as the year goes on!
