Week 24

By Cyndi
September 22, 2010

This week has gone by fairly quickly! Actually, the past month has ...

Matt adjusted his work schedule to be able to attend Kol Nidre & Yom Kippur services. Good thing he did, because on Friday night, during Kol Nidre, I started to get kicked and it was a little stronger than normal. I whispered to Matt to give me his hand and finally, after 3 weeks, he felt one of them!! Most of the movement is coming from the one on my right side, a few times during the day and then starting around 9pm at night.

I also had a scheduled visit with the doctor. Said everything looks fine, heart beats were a little higher than the previous readings because it was during the gestational diabetes test. I had to drink 10oz of sugar water flavored like fruit punch and then a blood draw. Tasty?!! As far as "the end," the doctors will do everything they can to prevent labor before 34 weeks and won't let me go past 38 weeks ... so if all processes normally, the big day will be between my birthday & Christmas.

Next doctor appointment is the week of our (well my) hopeful travel to Dallas for Michael & Ashley's wedding! Michael is a fraternity brother of Matt & Matt is a groomsman in the wedding.

What else ... Another ultrasound next week. Hopefully I can lay on my side for most of it so I don't pass out! Matt is going to start painting this week - we will post pictures as soon as we have some of the nursery ready. And we are going to start meeting with in-home daycare providers and pediatricians. The to-do list is not getting any shorter!
