Week 25

By Cyndi
September 29, 2010

The past week has been fairly productive.  First, I passed the glucose test!  Second, even though it was 90+ degrees outside, Matt still painted the nursery.  A few spots to touch up, steam cleaning the carpet and we'll be ready to begin crib assembly.  Slowly, it's all coming together!  Still need to determine curtains and I'll need some current mommy advice for this, since one of the cribs might be near the window and potentially reachable by little fingers.

The baby pool guessing has begun!  There is a link at the top to guess for Baby A & Baby B (Note: this is what the pool calls them, we haven't come up with names, though we still have suggestions from friends -- Thing1/Thing2, the Latkes, the ABies - Baby A/Baby B, M&M's, Gefilte Fishlets.  We can't wait to see what everyone thinks.

In the past week, we've gone from Matt being able to feel the babies kick, to seeing my tummy move where they are kicking!  It's crazy!

Another ultrasound was today and laying on my side made it much smoother.  The babies have turned transverse and baby B (with the lower heart rate) was kicking his/her sibling in the face most of the time!  They are both almost 2 lbs and growing right on schedule as a singleton would.  We will try to post a picture or two, but neither was too cooperative for a good picture.  OB visit scheduled for early next week for the final yay/nay for Dallas..   We are starting to research pediatricians & in-home daycare providers.  I think the baby to-do list might be longer than the wedding to-do list.

The only sad news of the week is that the crib bedding that we've been waiting on since July is backordered until December.  Very sad ...We are currently looking for another set to match the one we already have.

Have you had any interesting dreams about being pregnant, the twins, or just in general?
