Am I allowed to say that the past week has been somewhat of a blur??!! With around 4 weeks left until I go back to work, I'm trying to get out of the house more often with Matt and by myself. Here's a few updates:
They have (almost) doubled their birth weights!!!

The overall visit went well. It was mentioned to us to pay attention to their heads as Tyler has a flat spot on his left side and may have torticollis (tightening of neck muscles - could be from his inactivity in the womb - click here for more info) . Since then we have been trying to move his head around while sleeping, do as much tummy time as we can schedule in, and more sitting up in the corners of the couch. We head back next week for their official 2 month appointment including the first round of shots.
I went to a breastfeeding clinic with the boys since I have been struggling with the pump. They gave some suggestions and things have improved but not enough. I'll be heading back tomorrow for some more help. I need this figured out before I go back to work since I will be relying on the pump to do its job for many hours during the day.
On Saturday, we celebrated a friend's son's first birthday. The boys behaved very well and were dressed in real clothes instead of sleepers. I think it took me 20 minutes to dress them ... I won't be doing that very often. We have another birthday party this weekend, so hopefully the good behavior will continue.
Today, Matt and I went out to lunch ... wahooo the first time we've been out for a meal! We enjoyed Thai and then I went to hang out with my friend who has 8 month old twins. She has been a fabulous mentor and seems to clean her house of all boy items too small for hers and gives them to us. Thanks Stef!!
Matt's mom is arriving Thursday and splitting her visit between us and Daniel / Jill in Georgetown. Hopefully she is ready to change some poopy diapers!

In these pics they look more different from one another! Hmmmm now I'm torn....
ReplyDeleteChase had the same issue with his head. We had to pay attention to holding / nursing him on the opposite side to balance it out. It worked and his nugget is all good now :)
